of how careful you are or what flooring type has been utilized.
Distressing gives your floor the uniformity which will allow it to age with dignity while
displaying the timeless beauty afforded by other fine wood antique furnishings.

Due to the expanding popularity of this concept (which is by no means NEW), much of our website is
devoted to the wide variety of distressing styles & techniques that we have been specializing in for close
to thirty years.  Of course, we produce smooth finished flooring also !

The often abused term "distressed" shouldn't suggest that your floor appears to
have been pulled from a barn called "Home" by the famous Clydesdale's,
although we can & will produce that appearance upon request.

Often, however, a more refined, formal, or softer appearance is desired.

creating styles and effects ranging from light & subtle...to very aged & rustic.

We regard this process to be a "craft", not camouflage to mask the utilization of substandard
materials, workmanship, or the use of machinery intended to give a "hand distressed look".
True hand distressing takes skill, time and touch to produce, so it may seem more
costly at first glance, but after considerations such as...the addition to property value as well
as longevity of the product are given, most folks agree that the value is indisputable.
